A BRIEF HISTORY...

In the summer of 2008, founding members Dale Sheffield and Terry Harwood started a small studio collaboration that would eventually become Whiskey HellChild. The product of late night songwriting and sheer determination led to a collection of demos that soon blossomed into a full-length album, PRIMER. Dale and Terry realized that the material needed to be performed live and decided to form a band. Recruiting Mike Musselwhite on bass kick-started the process to find a suitable drummer. Enter Mike Kaloudis, a rookie with a ton of talent. Soon the guys began booking shows in the NC/SC area, with many more to come...
The band started writing new material for their next album, THE IMPENDING SOUTHERN DOOM. After an unexpected move to SC, Terry was forced to leave WHC behind and was replaced by Jeremy Masters in 2009. New material was being written and performed live for a few months before Mike Kaloudis left the band, leaving the band in a brief hiatus. Shane Eudy stepped up and replaced Mike on the drums. Not long afterwards, Jeremy moved out of state and the band continued as a trio. In early 2012, bassist Mike Musselwhite left WHC and again the band was on another unexpected hiatus.

As 2012 was beginning to look like a bad year, former guitarist and co-founder of WHC Terry Harwood rejoined the band as the new bassist, and the inspiration and enthuiasm began anew. Whiskey HellChild began writing their long-delayed second studio album THE IMPENDING SOUTHERN DOOM, and started recording within a month of the new line-up. With show dates looming, WHC got back on the road and fleshed out the rest of the year with numerous shows in the Carolinas and recorded their first live album, UnAlive! only two months later.

But as with many bands, creative and personal differences are always in the job desciption. Shane left the band in early 2013 as the rehearsals were under way for the fourth studio album, QUARTER BAG, was beginnning to take shape. Dale and Terry again were at another turning point in the band's future. With the hiring of a sensational session drummer, Johnny Inacian, the new album was to be the band's best effort yet. After the release of QUARTER BAG, a good friend and power drummer Bobby Krimminger was the next in line to sit behind the skins. In early 2013, WHC began preparing to record their most ambitious project yet, and recording was again underway.

With a slew of brand new material, the new album was shaping up nicely. Then, in December of 2013, Bobby unexpectedly passed away, and the band went on a brief hiatus to regroup and set a course for the upcoming year. Having finished recording all of the drum tracks, the new album was still set to be released, featuring the very last recordings of Bobby Krimminger.

Now as 2014 plows on, the new album, FROM OUT OF NOWHERE, is nearing completion, and the band will be even more focused on the task ahead. Look out, everyone. It's gonna be HELL of ride!
